Welcome Transfer Students!

The College of Education and Behavioral Sciences is a great place to pursue a degree and the University of Northern Colorado campuses, both on-campus and online, have many resources to help you feel welcome and supported as a transfer student.

As a student who is transferring to UNC, please visit the Transfer Student website to learn more about submitting an application to become a student at UNC.

Orientation

Online Orientation is required for all transfer and non-traditional students. Completing the orientation will give students practical resources to get started and will help with a successful transition to campus.

You will receive an email in your BearMail account from orientation@mldxgjq.com with a link to access the online orientation within a week of being admitted to UNC. All incoming transfer students are required to complete orientation. All students are encouraged to attend the in-person Transfer and Non-traditional Welcome.

Advising

After the online orientation has been completed, the next step toward enrolling in your first semester at UNC is academic advising. This page will help you determine who to contact for advising based on your program. The type of advising in which you will participate is based on the program you choose.

Prior to Your Advising Appointment...

  • Submit your unopened official transcripts to UNC for processing (So that your advisor will have an accurate list of the courses you completed and how they transferred to the university!)
  • Log onto your Ursa account and learn how to register for courses (So that you can do this during your conversation with your advisor!)
